President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz during his visit to Germany. In recent years, Germany has invested $5.5 billion in Uzbekistan’s economy. Bilateral trade has doubled during this period.
The Uzbek leader noted that Germany is a strategic and promising partner of his country. The dynamics of the development of Uzbekistan-Germany relations remains high.
Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Germany is ready to support Uzbekistan on its way to accession to the World Trade Organization. He positively evaluated the ongoing reforms and the new regional policy of the Republic. He highlighted the importance of creating an atmosphere of trust in Central Asia.
