On May 3, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Head of the President’s Administration Akylbek Zhaparov held a regular government meeting, during which 9 issues were discussed and important decisions were taken, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The Minister of Defence reported on the upcoming events which would be held on May 9 to mark the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
These include a requiem rally marking the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War in the capital city, involving Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov. The Immortal Regiment annual international action will start on that day.
War veterans and home front workers, heads of ministries and departments and representatives of the military diplomatic corps will take part in the commemorative event.
In late April, the press office of the Kyrgyz leader reported that President Sadyr Japarov would visit Moscow on May 8-9 at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. He will attend the Victory Parade on Red Square as a guest of honour.
