The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with the Deputy Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Dmitry Maryasin. They noted the need to strengthen the legal framework of the state in the field of environmental protection through the UNECE. Attention was paid to the positive experience of Turkmenistan in this direction, in particular within building Arkadag city.
The meeting participants noted that environmental issues are one of the most important areas of cooperation between Ashgabat and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. Emphasis was placed on the importance of introducing «green» technologies in this area.
Dmitry Maryasin arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the conference and exhibition «International transport and transit corridors: interconnectedness and development-2023».
