GBAO of Tajikistan has received medical equipment worth $497,000

The Centre for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of the Republic of Tajikistan received mobile sanitary and epidemiological equipment from the Government. This equipment costs $497,000, the Khovar State News Agency reported.

This equipment was provided to the region to improve the quality of medical care in remote areas of the region. The local officials noted that this support illustrates the concern of President Emomali Rahmon for citizens of Tajikistan.

The heads of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region emphasised that the Government of Tajikistan pays close attention to developing the healthcare system.

As was reported, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan received 5 mobile infectious diseases laboratories. The mobile complexes were purchased through the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development.
