In Ashgabat, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and the regional office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) signed a cooperation document. The organization will assist the country in creating a digital land cadastre. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
The document was signed within the framework of the international conference «Partnership for Food Security under Climate Change». The event was organized by the Cabinet of Ministers of the country at the initiative of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In addition to the corresponding document, representatives of the relevant ministry and FAO agreed to expand cooperation in the implementation of projects for the management of natural resources in saline and arid landscapes of agricultural production of Turkmenistan.
The regional office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations also assists the state in the implementation of the national forest program.
