On March 2, a two-day Uzbekistan-UK education forum, jointly organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, the British Council in Uzbekistan and the International University of Westminster, started its work at the International University of Westminster in Tashkent, the press office of the Ministry reports.
Representatives of Uzbek and foreign universities, international agencies and analytical organisations and entrepreneurs are attending the forum.
The presentation on the activities of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the seminar «Quality assurance in higher education in the UK and Uzbekistan» took place on the first day of the forum.
The participants exchanged views on the ways of promoting partnerships between Uzbekistan and the UK in transnational education, the use of international practices to improve the quality and prestige of higher education and the introduction of advanced educational technologies for scientific and applied research.
The second day of the forum will be devoted to inclusive education and attraction of successful graduates to potential employers, businesses and industries.
