On February 16, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov a message of congratulations on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
In his message, the Uzbek leader noted that over the past period, joint intergovernmental commissions, inter-parliamentary friendship groups and the Business Council have been set up, and close cooperation with Kyrgyz partners in all spheres of political and public life continues.
Mirziyoyev also noted that the Council of Heads of border regions is successfully operating as a unique mechanism to fully implement the economic potential of the border regions, strengthen ties of brotherhood and expand cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two peoples.
The President said the commencement of works under the Kambarata HPP-1 project that is of great importance on a regional scale and the construction of the strategic China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway vividly demonstrates close friendship between the two states to the whole world.
