Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan sign 11 documents worth $168 million

The Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan business forum took place in Bishkek. It resulted in signing 11 documents. They are aimed at expanding cooperation between the two countries in the trade, economic and investment sectors, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The total value of the documents signed at the forum is $168 million. The largest contract was signed between Bai Dykan LLC and Golden Korn LLC for the supply of Kyrgyz corn grain to Uzbekistan. The contract price is $100 million.

The ministries of agriculture will enhance contacts in the agro-industrial sector. Textile production will be launched in Jalal-Abad Region. $30 million will be earmarked for this purpose. Leather will be produced and processed, and potatoes will be grown in Naryn Region under an $8 million memorandum with Baxodir Log’on Tekstil LLC.

A calcium carbide plant will be built in Kyrgyzstan. The project cost is $20 million. The companies of the two republics will launch the assembly of electricity meters and build a basalt crushing plant. UzXCMG LLC and Uzavtosanoat will sell their goods in Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan will supply agricultural products and livestock to Uzbekistan under a $10 million contract.
