The delegation of the Central Asian state visited the SEZs of the republic.
A delegation from Turkmenistan arrived in the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation. Representatives of the Central Asian country held introductory meetings on creating special economic zones. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.
The delegates visited the SEZ «Alabuga» and «Innopolis», got acquainted with how these zones function, and discussed issues of interest with management companies. During the visit, they also spoke with the residents of special economic zones of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The delegation consisted of experts from relevant ministries and government departments of Turkmenistan. They also took part in a seminar on the international experience in the field of creating SEZs, their administration and modernization of the legal framework.
Last December, at a government meeting, President of the Central Asian country Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave an order to intensify cooperation with other countries and foreign organizations on the exchange of information and technologies in the field of creating free economic zones. At the meeting, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan has developed a draft state program for the creation and development of FEZs.
