In Ashgabat, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the head of the Embassy of Qatar Hamad bin Rashid bin Hamad Al-Azbi. The parties discussed promising areas for further cooperation. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the MFA.The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador noted the importance of high-level visits. Particular attention was paid to the effectiveness of political consultations. Emphasis was also placed on partnerships within organizations at the international and regional levels.
Rashid Meredov and Hamad bin Rashid bin Hamad Al-Azbi underlined the need to build up relations between Turkmenistan and Qatar in trade, fuel and energy complex, investment, transport, high technology, chemical and textile industries, the agricultural sector, cultural and humanitarian fields.
The officials agreed that Ashgabat and Doha should also expand cooperation in education and sports, organize joint forums and exhibitions, and hold Days of Culture.
