The departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan found and busted during a joint special raid a large laboratory in Almaty Region that produced narcotic substances, the press office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on January 9.
Currently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security Committee are implementing a joint action plan. In accordance with this action plan, the activity of the criminal site, which is damaging for the younger generation, was suspended. The organiser of the illegal drug laboratory, who launched the production of synthetic drugs, was detained on January 7.
30 kg of the psychotropic substance medefron and 1,000 kg of the chemical reagents used to produce the harmful potion were seized. Law enforcement officers informed that the logical conclusion of the case was preceded by a series of well-organised investigative measures and technical approaches approved by the prosecutor’s office.
At this stage, work is underway to determine the illegal equipment supply chains and the involvement of other persons. For this purpose, a pre-trial investigation is underway in accordance with Article 297 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
