On December 28, the members of the Uzbek working group, headed by First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Laziz Kudratov, visited the Republic of Korea, where they met with the representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Export-Import Bank of Korea, the press office of the Ministry reported.
The roundtable and meetings with Korean businessmen took pace during the visit to Seul.
The talks focused on the progress of the implementation of the joint projects, including a multifunctional adult clinic, a medical university, the Tashkent Pharma Park pharmaceutical cluster, an oncology clinic and an Uzbekistan-Korea technological centre for rare metals and hard alloys.
The participants of the meetings considered exporting melons and grapes from Uzbekistan to Korea. In this regard, the South Korean side expressed its readiness to provide the necessary phytosanitary certificates.
The roundtable and meetings between entrepreneurs and government officials focused on the implementation of joint projects involving the major South Korean companies in the energy, infrastructure and chemical sectors, water supply and medical devices and electric vehicle charger manufacturing.
They also discussed the upcoming opening of Kyongnam Bank in Uzbekistan.
