On December 28, in honor of the upcoming New Year, a solemn ceremony of opening of a large housing complex «Gurtly» took place in the western part of Ashgabat. The buildings were constructed by local companies. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov cut the symbolic ribbon and thus marked the joyful and long-awaited housewarming of Turkmen families.Correspondent of CentralAsia.news took part in the festive event. He spoke with Dadebay Nazkuliyev, the chairman of the Ashgabat Council of the Party of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Turkmenistan (a public organization that united Turkmen businessmen).
What does this grandiose social project represent in general?
— The entire area of the large-scale complex is 91.6 hectares. 62 residential buildings with improved planning and comfortable conditions have been constructed on this territory.
What are the conditions for new settlers?
— In a residential area there are apartments of different sizes, with a total area from 54 to 150 square meters. They are intended for small and big families.
What about the social component?
— The new microdistrict has a new school, a comfortable kindergarten, sports grounds, small shopping centers, a supermarket and an entertainment center.
How many local companies took part in construction?
— More than 30 national contractors participated in the construction of a residential area and social facilities. The practical implementation of this major project was carried out as part of the socio-economic strategy of the state.
