On December 12, Ambassador of Tajikistan in Azerbaijan Rustam Soli met with Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev. The interlocutors reviewed the current situation and prospects of bilateral cooperation in legal matters and the joint fight against various kinds of crime, including corruption, terrorism, extremism and illicit drug trafficking, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of development of mutually beneficial partnerships between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries that has been successfully continuing for many years. They highlighted the importance of working together on a joint response to various manifestations of crime, including terrorist attacks and illicit drug trafficking, combating corruption, among other areas.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Soli touched upon bilateral relations, emphasising that Tajikistan attaches great importance to mutually beneficial cooperation with Azerbaijan. He said the two countries are actively developing bilateral relations in all areas thanks to joint efforts.
