Muhriddin reports to UN about water initiatives of Tajikistan

The Tajik delegation headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin is on a visit to France on December 7-8 to participate in the UN-Water Summit on Groundwater at UNESCO Headquarters, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported to CentralAsia.news.

Chair of UN-Water Gilbert Houngbo opened the Summit. Then the floor was given to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan. In his speech, he focused on the global water initiatives of Tajikistan, the outcomes of the Second Dushanbe Water Action Decade Conference “Water for Sustainable Development”, which was held in June this year as part of the Dushanbe Water Process, and preparatory work for the UN 2023 Water Conference.

Over 3,700 delegates of the states and organisations, including more than 120 top-level speakers, are participating in the Summit and its events in Paris.
