Smailov identifies development priorities of Zhambyl Region

On December 2, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov met with deputies of maslikhats in Zhambyl Region. The head and deputy heads of regional administration were elected at the enlarged meeting, the press office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

Addressing those present, the Chairman of the Government noted that the heads of regional administration are to fulfil the strategic tasks of long-term social and economic development of the region. He emphasised that it is planned to take complex measures to modernise social infrastructure and housing, energy and rural facilities.

The Prime Minister noted that the state will continue to support businesses, launch new investment projects and work to improve the quality of roads in Zhambyl. 13 schools and 30 primary health care facilities will be put into operation and the second construction stage of a large biopharmaceutical enterprise will be completed.

Alikhan Smailov instructed the newly elected officials to effectively implement the plans aimed at improving the quality of life and the well-being of people. They were tasked to coordinate the growth rates of food production and prevent unreasonable price spikes.
