On November 23, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took part in the meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation in Yerevan. In his speech, Rahmon emphasised the importance of strengthening security on the Tajik-Afghan state border, as the southern border of the CSTO region, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Summing up Armenia’s Chairmanship in the CSTO, the President thanked Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan for organizing the high-level meeting and conducting activities while chairing the CSTO. He congratulated President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on taking over the CSTO Chairmanship.
The President positively evaluated the effective work of CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas and wished every success to the newly appointed CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
The participants of the regular meeting of the CSC CSTO adopted a number of documents.
