On November 17, an Uzbek delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjayev met with representatives of a number of French companies during the visit to France, the press office of the Ministry reported.
The Uzbek delegation consisted of representatives of several ministries and departments. Alstom CEO Henri Poupart-Lafarge, CEO of Voltalia Sebastien Clerc and Orano Mining CEO Nicolas Maes attended the meeting.
The participants considered cooperating with the French companies in the implementation of joint projects in the energy, public transport and investment sectors.
They also considered using Alstom’s expertise to modernise public transport infrastructure, particularly electric transport. The parties also exchanged views on the involvement of Voltalia in the construction projects of solar and wind power plants in Uzbekistan.
The talks with the Orano top manager focused on the prospects of investment cooperation.
