Kyrgyzstan invites Pakistan to implement CASA-1000 energy project

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulanbek Totuyaev met with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shah Ahmad Noorani Siddiqi. The interlocutors exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including the regional and international agenda and the situation in Afghanistan, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Noting the close historical, cultural and religious affinities between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, the Kyrgyz Ambassador stressed the importance of fostering bilateral initiatives designed to increase bilateral trade and promote trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

In this regard, the Kyrgyz side noted the importance of implementing joint projects, including the CASA-1000 energy project.

Siddiqi said Pakistan is willing to maintain and promote diverse cooperation with friendly countries in various fields of mutual interest.
