On November 3, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev held talks with the delegation of China National Chemical Engineering Co., headed by Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Manager and Board Member Gang Wen, the press office of the Ministry reported.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for long-term cooperation and the opportunities for the Chinese company to implement joint projects in Uzbekistan in such spheres as green energy, transport, oil and gas and chemical industries and infrastructure development.
The participants noted intensive cooperation between Uzbekistan and Chinese companies. It was noted that bilateral trade exceeded $7.4 billion in 2021 and amounted to $6.8 billion in January-September 2022. These indicators were achieved thanks to joint efforts of the two countries to facilitate business and external trade.
The participants discussed the achievements and prospects for expanding cooperation between the Uzbek companies and the Chinese corporation in the light and building materials industries and agriculture.
