Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasised the need to accelerate joint efforts to remove barriers, avoid protectionism, create favourable tariff conditions and simplify administrative procedures on the CIS platforms.
The Kazakh leader paid particular attention to the use and development of transport infrastructure, pointing out the highly effective prospects of the Trans-Caspian transnational route that opens up new niches for Eurasian market platforms.
In this context, the President noted the growing relevance of this area. “I believe that the CIS Member States will work in a constructive format towards tapping the existing potential by boosting north-south trade with access to Iran, the Persian Gulf and India,” Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev expressed belief.
