On October 20, a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on major issues of the national social and economic development took place in Ashgabat. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the Resolution On the announcement of the Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry Contest for the award of the President of Turkmenistan, the Turkmenistan: Golden Age edition reported.
The annua creative contest is designed to reveal new talents among workers of Turkmen culture, art and literature. Its programme will include the Ýaňlan, Diýarym! contest of young amateur singers, the Çalsana, Bagşy! contest of dutarists and baghshi musicians and the Garaşsyzlygyň Merjen Däneleri contest of gifted children. The results of the above contest will be announced in September next year, timed to coincide with the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of independence.
Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of the careful selection of creative works and giving priority to their relevance, patriotism and artistic value. The Turkmen leader gave specific instructions to the officials and signed the relevant document.
