On October 17, Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a telegram of congratulations to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the friendly and fraternal people of Azerbaijan on the Day of Restoration of State Independence. Berdimuhamedov wished good health, happiness and wellbeing to his counterpart and peace, development and prosperity to the people of Azerbaijan, the Turkmenistan Today News Agency reported.
“I am glad to note that the Republic of Azerbaijan under your wise leadership has made significant progress in the political, social and economic spheres in recent years and continues to develop progressively today, consistently improving the welfare of its citizens,” the President emphasised in his telegram.
The leader of the Turkmen state said the two countries have reached a new level of interstate cooperation and relations, based on friendship, mutual respect and understanding. He emphasised that the Turkmen side is ready to continue to expand cooperation in priority areas of partnerships for the further prosperity of the two nations.
