ADB has chosen projects for funding in Kyrgyzstan

On October 11, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev met with the delegation of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank to discuss the prospects for further cooperation, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The participants discussed the prospects for implementing projects in such areas as transport, energy, private sector support, digital transformation, green economy and human capital development. Kasymaliev noted that the times make it necessary to urgently take practical steps to develop the country. 

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the priority tasks of the Kyrgyz Republic include the economic development of the regions. In particular, close attention is being paid to Batken Region.

The members of the Board said the Asian Development Bank would consider projects for funding in such areas as transport, energy, good governance, regional cooperation, poverty reduction, private sector support and climate change mitigation.
