The parties noted that the CIS Member States have a number of objective advantages, the adequate use of which conforms to the interests of common wellbeing. This is the aim of the initiatives of the Turkmen state to bring mutually beneficial relations within the CIS to wider geographic and economic horizons. Given the existing capabilities of the countries, transport, communications, logistics, energy, industry and infrastructure were marked as priority areas. It was also emphasised that investment, trade, economy and other areas have prospects for multilateral cooperation.
