On October 6, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on his 70th birthday. In his telegram of congratulations, the Turkmen leader wished good health, happiness and great achievements in his post to his counterpart and further progress and prosperity to the people of Russia, the Turkmenistan Today State News Agency reported.
“On this significant day in your life, I am glad to note that the profound attention you pay to building up and promoting bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation is of great importance. Cooperation between our countries is developing on a promising and long-term basis. We are ready to make every effort to further expand it for the benefit of our peoples,” the President stressed.
As was reported, the two leaders had a telephone conversation, during which they noted an important role of expanding trade and economic relation on the agenda of multifaceted bilateral cooperation, which is significantly facilitated by the effective activities of the joint intergovernmental commission.
