Representatives of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Tajikistan and lecturers and students from the State Institute of Culture and Arts of Tajikistan participated in a conference on countering terrorism and extremism. The participants discussed ways for preventing youth from joining the parties and movements banned in the country, the Khovar National News Agency reports.
The emphasis was put on cyberculture, and young people were advised to refrain from reading, viewing and distributing articles and videos uploaded by active members of the parties and movements banned in Tajikistan.
The participants highlighted the need to prevent young people from joining extremist movements and terrorist groups, participating in wars and armed conflicts in foreign states and receiving non-formal religious education abroad.
On October 18-19, 2022, Dushanbe will host the International High-Level Conference on “International and Regional Border Security and Management Cooperation to Counter Terrorism and Prevent the Movement of Terrorists”.
