On September 23, Chairman of the Government Alikhan Smailov met with Deputy Chair of the Supreme Council for Reforms Suma Chakrabarti. The interlocutors discussed the measures taken by the Government to implement the Message of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan on September 1, the press office of the Prime Minister reported to CentralAsia.news.
Smailov emphasised that Kazakhstan is finalizing the draft medium-term Economic Policy, the major aspects of which will be economic diversification and improvement, the transformation of public administration and the integrated development of human capital.
The Prime Minister said this work should result in sustainable economic growth that would contribute to increasing national income and improving the people’s welfare.
The interlocutors discussed the issues relating to financing new investment projects and achieving food security, as well as topical issues on the regional agenda.
