The Uzbek delegation took part in the 29th China Yangling Agricultural High-Tech Fair themed “Innovations, Cooperation and Food Security” that ended on September 19, the UzA News Agency reports.
The agricultural fair was held in the Chinese city of Yangling. It has been held since 1997 and is considered one of the largest specialized events of its kind in China. Representatives of more than 60 countries from all over the world took part in the agricultural fair.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Alisher Turaev addressed the participants in the opening ceremony in a video message, informing them about the export and industrial potential of Uzbekistan, as well as the achievements of Uzbek-Chinese trade and economic cooperation.
The fair provided a platform for a wide range of thematic forums, roundtables and business meetings.
Confectionery, drinks and mineral waters, honey, dried fruits, fresh fruits and vegetables and medicinal plants were showcased.
Uzbekistan took part in the agricultural fair as a guest of honour in the framework of the SCO Chairmanship, which it had recently completed.
