On September 12, Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Kudaibergen Bazarbayev met with RF Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev on the instructions of President Sadyr Japarov. The interlocutors discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation on migration, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.
They exchanged views on issues related to the problems encountered by citizens of Kyrgyzstan with regards to temporary stay in Russia and discussed the procedure for migration registration.
Bazarbaev put forward specific proposals to address the above problems, which would improve migration procedures for citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Russia.
Following the meeting, the Russian side considered the proposals of the Kyrgyz side. The parties agreed to consolidate efforts to resolve the problems.
On September 8, Sadyr Japarov called on the ministers of internal affairs from the CIS Member States to promote cooperation on labour migration among CIS Member States during the meeting in Cholpon-Ata.
