Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov, who headed the Uzbek delegation, took part in the Leaders Summit Europe 2022 Global Tourism Forum, which was held in Brussels, Belgium on September 6, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
The international event was organised by the World Tourism Forum Institute. Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization Taleb Rifai, President at World Tourism Forum Institute Bulut Bagci, members of the European Parliament, politicians and representatives of the tourism, aviation and transport companies attended the Summit.
Vladimir Norov made a presentation on Investment, Interconnectivity and Hospitality. Its main topics were the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and state support for the tourism industry. The films about the cultural heritage and historical monuments of the country were demonstrated.
Discussions focused on international cooperation in the tourism sector, attraction of investment in the industry, creation of national tourism brands and promotion of the tourist image of countries in the world markets.
The participants of the forum were invited to the EU-Central Asia Tourism Forum and the 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which will be held in Samarkand and Khiva next year.
