On August 20, chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, together with the head of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova, opened a new complex of buildings for the Economic Department of the Military and Law Enforcement Agencies of the State Border Service, as reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
Berdimuhamedov and Mammedova arrived at the ceremony early in the morning. They were met by the head of the State Security Council Begench Gundogdiyev. The ensemble of the border service performed musical compositions and a song glorifying Turkmenistan and the people of the country.
The leaders of the Milli Gengesh cut the symbolic ribbon. Then they proceeded to the dining room for 150 seats. They were shown meals that soldiers usually eat. During the conversation with the border guards, Berdimuhamedov and Mammedova asked them about their dreams. The head of the Halk Maslakhaty promised to convey the proposals of the frontier defenders regarding youth policy to president Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Then the officials visited an exhibition of fruits and vegetables grown on the land plots of the economic department, as well as an exhibition of meat, dairy and food products. On behalf of the leader of the country, the fruits and vegetables were handed over to the students of the «Döwletliler köşgi» palace.
The chairmen of the Milli Gengesh also visited the training room and the barracks. After that, they were shown Akhal-Teke horses and alabays, which are bred by the relevant department.
