Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan to hold meeting of Commission on Trade Cooperation

On August 18, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan held the second inter-MFA consultation. The emphasis was placed on the importance of expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The officials agreed to hold a meeting of the Commission on Trade Cooperation, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The Kyrgyzstan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation will hold its fourth meeting in early October. A bilateral business congress will take place in the framework of the meeting.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Artykbayev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Mohammad Aamar Aftab Qureshi took part in inter-MFA consultation. They considered developing the mechanisms to enhance interstate cooperation in the investment, education, healthcare and cultural sectors.

On the same day, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan met with Ambassador of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The interlocutors highlighted the importance of increasing bilateral trade.
