The second round of the All-Republic Contest “Tajikistan – My Beloved Homeland” has finished in Tajikistan. The programme of the art contest included the songs and musical performances glorifying the outstanding people, achievements of the authorities and traditions of the ancestors, the press office of the Ministry of Culture reports.
The art contest is aimed at revealing talents and improving professional skills of art workers.
The second round was held in Gissar Region from 1 to 5 August, in Sughd Region from 1 to 6 August, in Rasht Region from 8 to 11 August and in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region from August 8 to 10.
The heads of the executive authorities of the cities and regions awarded prizes, diplomas, certificates and cash prizes to the winners.
The final will be held in the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan from 15 to 18 August. The best composer, performer and musician will be chosen in the nominations. The winners of the regional round received 7,000, 5,000 and 3,000 somoni ($684, $489 and $293).
This year, the art contest marks the 30th anniversary of the 16th session of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan.
