On August 12, Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Fayziddin Kakhhorzoda chaired a meeting of the Coordinating Council on public finance management, which was held in Dushanbe. Particular attention was paid to the action plan of the Ministry, the press office of the Ministry reported.
The heads of the government agencies took part in the meeting. The meeting focused on monitoring the Public Finance Management Strategy for the period until 2030 and the medium-term action plan for 2021–2023 of the Strategy.
The participants identified the priority areas of activity of the Coordinating Council. It will work towards managing the public debt, expanding the securities market, boosting digital transformation of the Ministry and improving the positioning of Tajikistan in international rankings.
According to the government officials, Tajikistan will adopt new norms and standards for public finance management to meet recommendations of its development partners.
The above Strategy was approved on January 31, 2020.
