On August 2, the Republic of Tajikistan celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Day of Paratroopers. In honour of this date, President Emomali Rahmon visited the Fakhrabad military training ground in Khatlon Region, where he inspected the military vehicles and the skills of paratroopers, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.
The officers told the Tajik leader about the technical characteristics the Uragan combat vehicles and other military machines, paying particular attention to the technologies that can be used in the event of crisis.
Commander of the air assault brigade Abdulmumin Asozoda reported to Rahmon on the counter-terrorism operations which were organised and performed in the region. The paratroopers demonstrated their hand-to-hand combat skills and martial arts techniques. These warriors are trained to effectively neutralize large terrorist groups.
A military parade took place as part of the visit of the President of Tajikistan to the military training ground. The Tajik leader emphasised that the paratroopers are assigned awesome, very important and responsible tasks.
