Vladimir Norov meets with Turkish Foreign Minister

On August 2, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the 1st meeting of the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey Dialogue, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.

Exchanging views, the interlocutors noted that Uzbekistan-Turkey relations are dynamically developing in key areas thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two states.

The participants discussed the progress of the implementation of the top-level agreements and economic, cultural, humanitarian and investment projects, as well as cooperation within international organisations and institutions.

They highly evaluated the outcomes of the recent conference on Afghanistan, which was held in Tashkent, and expressed mutual readiness to continue cooperation in settling the situation in this country and providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.

They discussed the planned bilateral and multilateral events, including preparations for the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand.
