Rahmon presents books to family in Khovali district

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon made a working trip to Khovalin district of Khatlon Region. He visited one of the local families during his trip. The President learned about their living conditions, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.

The main purpose of the visit was to inform local residents about the culture of using agricultural land in households. The owner of the house Ilkhom Odinaev showed Rahmon their garden and orchard that occupy a total area of 800 square metres.

Odinaev grows potatoes, vegetables, nuts, cherry, apples and other fruits on his household plot. He has 1,500 square metres of farmland allotted by the President, on which he grows fruits and vegetables.

After visiting the household plot and talking to the resident of Khovalin district, Rahmon presented a package of books about Tajik history to him and his family, encouraging them to read and broaden their horizons.

Over 25 years, the President of Tajikistan has written dozens of books, including one of his greatest works – Tajik People in the Mirror of History.
