Kyrgyzstan will host a Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia on July 20-21. The event will take place in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul Region. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov will hold bilateral talks, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The leaders of the Central Asian states are expected to discuss aspects of regional security cooperation and key vectors of further economic, cultural and humanitarian interaction.
Following the Consultative Meeting, the parties will sign the documents aimed at expanding partnerships in all areas of mutual interest.
More than 1,000 police officers will be present to provide security at the meeting of the Central Asian leaders in Issyk-Kul. The entire staff of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan will be involved to ensure traffic safety.
The first meeting of the Central Asian leaders took place in the capital of Kazakhstan in 2018. The meeting in Kyrgyzstan was scheduled to take place in August 2020. It was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
