On July 13, in Ashgabat, at a regular government meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal of Deputy Prime Minister Makhrijemal Mammedova to hold an international cultural forum in Turkmenabat on October 11-14 this year. It was reported by the news agency «Turkmenistan today».
The festival is called «Handcrafts and decorative and applied art in the heritage of world peoples». According to the regulation, exhibitions and fairs of folk and applied arts, master classes, as well as scientific conferences will be organized within the event.
Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan has a good image in the world arena, and the rich historical and cultural values of the Turkmen people play a significant role in this direction.
This year, numerous cultural events are planned to be held in the Central Asian country. These are exhibitions, contests, and online conferences. All of them are held under the motto «The era of the people with Arkadag».
