Uzbekistan-Korea Business Forum launches series of meetings in Tashkent

The capital of Uzbekistan is hosting the Uzbekistan-Korea Business Forum, jointly organised by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan-Korea Business Association, the press office of the Ministry reports.

115 companies and firms from South Korea, including KAKAO Group, Hanshin Engineering & Construction, Posco International, Hyundai Construction, DRB Group and Daewoo Construction, are taking part in the event.

The forum provided a platform for a series of B2B and B2G meetings, at which the proposals for cooperation in various areas were considered.

Speaking at the forum, the participants noted that there are great prospects for intensifying partnerships in the textile, mining, pharmaceutical, electronics, agro-industrial and education sectors.

Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, the Uzbekistan-Korea Business Association and EduLinkGlobal, Co., Ltd. signed an Agreement on cooperation on academic exchange and support of joint education projects on the first day of the forum.

The forum will last until July 7. The South Korean delegations will hold meetings in the cities of Tashkent and Syrdarya regions and visit a number of industrial facilities. Undoubtedly, the list of bilateral agreements will grow longer.
