A delegation of Tajikistan arrived in Bad Ragaz to participate in the International Monetary Fund constituency meetings. Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan Khokim Kholikzoda held talks with his counterpart from Switzerland Thomas Jordan, the press office of the National Bank of Tajikistan reported.
The main part of the meeting was devoted to advanced training of employees of the National Bank of the Central Asian country. It was emphasised that Switzerland would provide assistance to Tajikistan through an exchange of experience and training seminars.
The above events will cover the aspects of monetary and foreign exchange policy. In November, the financial institutions of Switzerland and Poland will conduct joint training seminars for employees of the National Bank of Tajikistan.
The talks focused on establishing relations between the banking institutions of the two states.
Holikzoda met with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva during his visit to Switzerland. The interlocutors considered re-opening the Resident Representative Office of the International Monetary Fund in Tajikistan.
