Vladimir Norov discusses prospects of partnerships with Ambassador of Bangladesh

On July 1, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan Mohammad Jahangir Alam, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

The interlocutors discussed further bilateral trade, economic, political, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for establishing contacts between the chambers of commerce and industry of Uzbekistan and Bangladesh, as well as textile enterprises and other economic sectors.

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and the foreign diplomat noted that the textile industry has the greatest potential for building up Uzbekistan-Bangladesh cooperation. They discussed the proposals for the involvement of companies from Bangladesh in implementing the projects of textile clusters in the free economic zones of Uzbekistan.

The plans to hold the first meeting of the Uzbekistan-Bangladesh Business Council (the exact date of the event will be discussed later) were discussed during the meeting.

Discussing the aspects of Uzbekistan-Bangladesh political cooperation, the interlocutors considered the interaction within the major international organizations were considered.
