Representatives of Uzbekistan’s business circles arrived in Tajikistan, where they held talks with the heads of administration of Khatlon and Sughd Regions. The entrepreneurs informed about their intention to invest in the agricultural and textile sectors of these regions, the press office of the Sughd Region administration reported.
The Uzbek businessmen plan to invest more than $1 million to build a modern greenhouse at the Temurjon farm in Gafurov district. The farm will cover an area of about 5 hectares.
The major manufacturers of Uzbekistan’s textile sector visited the enterprises of Tajikistan’s textile sector. The Uztekstilprom delegation visited the economic entities and farms that produce cotton.
The proposal for cooperation in Tajikistan’s textile sector, which will envisage setting up joint ventures in the country and increasing production capacity of the Republic of Tajikistan through Uzbek investment, will soon be developed.
