Lack of access to preschool education services discussed in Kyrgyzstan

On June 25, Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Kyrgyz Republic Asel Chynbayeva visited a number of non-state preschool institutions in the new districts of the capital within the mandate of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights to monitor the observance and protection of the rights and legitimate interests of children, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The government officials studied the experience of a number of non-state community preschool institutions established at the initiative of the local populations.

The heads and employees of kindergartens emphasised the high demand of the populations in the new districts of the capital for preschool education services, as well as childcare and babysitting services for preschool children.

The issues that need to be addressed by the state were identified.

In particular, the emphasis was placed on the difficult situation of children and women from socially vulnerable groups from the new districts and the lack of access to education and health services.

Chynbaeva highlighted the importance of developing the early childhood education market by simplifying the licensing procedure for preschool education institutions.
