On June 24, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular government meeting in Ashgabat. As part of the meeting, it was noted that the country will switch to medium-term budget planning in a few years. It was reported by the state news agency «Turkmenistan today».
Deputy Prime Minister Muhammetguly Mukhammedov reported to the leader of the country on the work carried out in this direction. He stressed that the development of the state budget for next year is underway. According to him, from 2025 the most important financial document of the country will be developed three years ahead.
Control over the improvement of the relevant system will be strengthened. For these purposes, a special state commission will be created. From 2022 to 2024, the necessary regulatory legal acts will be developed.
Berdimuhamedov stressed that in the current conditions, competent regulation of the public sector is an important part of state activity. He instructed Mukhammedov to take all necessary measures in the relevant direction.
