On June 22, Tajik leader Emomali Rahmon met with CEO at Swiss Trafigura Group Jeremy Weir. The interlocutors discussed further vectors of cooperation, focusing on the prospects for interaction in industry, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.
Rahmon noted that the talks offer a good opportunity to exchange views on partnerships in industry, as well as trade and logistics.
The agenda of the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in aluminium production at the Tajik Aluminum Company OJSC and building up relations with Zarafshon (one of the largest enterprises of Tajikistan’s gold industry) and TALCO Gold (an economic entity engaged in the development of the Konchoch group of deposits and precious metal mining).
Particular attention was paid to the vectors of interaction in the supply of oil products to Tajikistan, as well as the development of renewable energy in the Central Asian state.
