Coal supplies in autumn and winter discussed in Kyrgyzstan

On June 20, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Torobaev discussed the preparations for the autumn and winter months throughout the country during a meeting of the Republican Task Force. The emphasis was placed on the adequate supplies of coal and solid fuel to local populations, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“The situation that occurred last year when the coal supply targets were not met should not occur this year. All social institutions and remote regions of the country must be provided with solid fuel in sufficient quantities. The fuel depots should start to supply coal to local populations in an adequate amount in compliance with a schedule and at an affordable price,” Torobaev said.

He emphasised the inadmissibility of unreasonable overpricing and coal shortages.

He instructed that all power facilities be prepared in a timely manner for maximum loads during the heating period.

Following the meeting, the Ministry of Energy was instructed to efficiently use water from the Toktogul water storage reservoir and accumulate an adequate amount of water.
