Tajikistan and Germany discuss prospects for tourism cooperation

Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan Imomoudin Sattorov and Head of the International Tourism Exchange (ITB Berlin) David Ruetz, one of the world’s largest travel trade fairs, had a meeting in Berlin, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported.

Noting the substantial tourism potential of the Central Asian state, the interlocutors underscored the importance of promoting cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany in the tourism industry.

Sattorov said the Republic has the great cultural and historical heritage, advantageous geographical location and beautiful landscapes. He also reminded that nationals of 52 states can travel to Tajikistan without a visa from this year. On June 6, regular flights between Dushanbe and Munich were resumed.

The interlocutors discussed the participation of the Tajik delegation in ITB Berlin-2023 (March 7-9, 2023) and related events.

The Embassy of Tajikistan held a tourism forum in Tehran last week. Following the forum, Tajik and Iranian travel companies signed cooperation agreements.
