On June 15, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov set a number of tasks in the promotion of economic diplomacy during the working meeting with the high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reports.
He emphasised that the fulfilment of the tasks is crucial in the context of new political, social and economic challenges associated with global geopolitical tensions that require searching for new approaches to responding to them.
The Chairman of the Government highlighted the need to intensify efforts in the main areas of economic diplomacy to attract foreign investment, technology and knowledge, expand trade and economic contacts, promote the export of domestic products to foreign markets and increase tourism.
It was noted that the performance of each diplomatic mission, primarily the effectiveness of activities used to promote economy diplomacy, would be evaluated at the end of the year.
If the tasks are not fulfilled, appropriate measures will be taken.
